Potash derived from molasses (pdm)
Benefits of PDM
- PDM increases root, shoot growth and improves drought resistance.
- PDM enzyme activation within the plant, proteins, hormones, carbohydrates and adenosine triphosphate (ATP) production required for the vegetative growth of the plant.
- PDM also regulates the opening and closing of stomata by maintaining turgor pressure, reduces water loss and wilting
- PDM releases nutrients gradually in the soil, hence making nutrients available to the plant for longer duration.
- PDM enhances translocation of sugar, starch and ATP through photosynthesis.
- PDM facilitates increase in the fruit weight, uniform shape and size and also enhance useful resulting in higher market price for agricultural produce.
